Declan B on theories of reality. This is the reason I don’t really take Bentham’s Bulldog or other analytical philosophers seriously, because the true nature of reality is unknown. For example, consider that dust theory is true, and the universe is a collection of vibrating strings, patterned matched to create your current reality, but completely different from another perspective, in the same way a binary string can be decrypted many different ways. If that is the case, and saving a drowning cat could be a plague of locusts from another perspective, can you really say there is such as thing as objective morality?
